Relative to category peers · methodologyPros & cons
- Longest 5-iron in 2024 MGS Player's Iron testing for 60% of testers
- Genuinely remarkable forgiveness — exceptionally tight grouping front-to-back and left-to-right + 5-10yd longer than CB/MB
- First Apex iron with hollow body construction (Forged 455 face cup in long irons + forged 1025 face plate in short irons) + urethane microspheres + Dynamic Sole Design
- Buttery soft at impact — much softer than earlier models + better fit for mid-handicappers vs Pro 21
- Lacks the accuracy and control that other player's irons possess — ranks towards the bottom in 2024 Player's Iron accuracy scoring
- Consistent draw characteristics in testing — biased toward right-to-left spin, not neutral
- Noticeably bigger profile + thicker topline + more prevalent offset vs Pro 21 — slight visual regression for pure players
- Premium pricing at ~£200 per club + custom fit only
