Relative to category peers · methodologyPros & cons
- 2026 Golf Digest Hot List GOLD (Players Irons) — 4.5/5 overall with strong scores across Performance, Innovation, and Look/Sound/Feel.
- Thinnest-ever Contour Ellipse Face at 1.37mm in 4-5 irons (35% thinner than predecessor) — 127 mph 7-iron ball speed.
- Three-part forging strategy tuned per club: Chromoly 4-5 for speed, Micro-Slot 6-8 for control, 1025E single-billet 9-PW for precision.
- Industry tester: the ball feels like it almost rides the face; like it stays on the face a tick longer.
- Premium pricing at ~£200/club (~£1,450 for a 7-piece set) — among the most expensive forged players irons in the category.
- Still a players-cavity iron — narrow fitting window (3-12 handicap), not for higher handicaps who need genuine forgiveness.
- Same 32° 7-iron loft as predecessor — distance gains come from face thickness, not loft jacking, so don't expect PD-class yardage.
