Relative to category peers · methodologyPros & cons
- Grand Slam winning iron between Schauffele + Rahm — most played iron on PGA Tour
- Best feeling Apex iron per reviewer testing — 1025 forged hollow body + 'tremendously pure' light snap
- Internal + external MIM tungsten weighting — precise CG location + adjustable external swingweight without altering CG
- Much more forgiving than expected for a tour cavity back + 2022 Golf Digest Gold Hot List recognition
- Recommended for players with low single-digit handicaps — narrow fit (0-5 HCP)
- Mid/low launch + spin — adequate to hold green or work shot, but not high-launching for higher-HCP players
- Now 4 years old — superseded by Apex CB 24 (2024) which Callaway designed as replacement for tour-popular TCB
- Originally tour-only — limited consumer availability + premium pricing reflects this exclusivity
