Relative to category peers · methodologyPros & cons
- Over 30% more forgiving than Gen6 - dispersion and speed preservation comparable to a true game-improvement iron
- PXG's softest-feeling irons ever - a new QuantumCOR polymer fill behind the thinnest face in golf (0.05 inch)
- Long - about 1 mph more ball speed and 2.5 yards over Gen6, and a 7-iron ~5 yards more carry than a comparable iron
- Strong lofts (27-degree 7-iron) with controlled flight - launch only 2 degrees lower
- The least workable PXG iron - a distance-and-forgiveness head
- The largest head with the most offset
- Strong lofts - not for players who want traditional gapping or greenside spin
