Relative to category peers · methodologyPros & cons
- Robot testing measured 113mph ball speed + 173yd carry + 14° launch + 57ft peak + 31° descent on the 7-iron at 80mph club speed; +7-10yd carry vs Aerojet predecessor
- Industry awards include 2024 Gold Medal game-improvement recognition — perhaps Cobra's longest iron to date
- Soft + solid impact with tight, quiet thud sound — 3g foam-microsphere damping is the headline upgrade vs the Aerojet polymer
- Mishits lose only 7-9yd vs sweet-spot strikes — best-in-class ball-speed retention for 2024 + off-center shots 5-6yd straighter than competitors
- Low trajectory marked down by some reviewers as too flat for the target buyer — strong-loft GI profile compromises apex
- 11th of 17 in 2024 independent Most Wanted testing — mid-pack overall despite strong mishit retention; the One Length variant ranked 4th was the stronger sibling
- Strong 27° 7-iron loft cross-shops with neighbour irons at 'cheating' yardage — fitting essential
- Now superseded by DS-Adapt (2025) with 23% more face flex and +10yd carry on 7-iron — compare current stock pricing
