CaddyIndex™Experimental
Relative to category peers · methodologyPros & cons
- Independent 2024 Players Distance Lab Test: 9.5/10 overall — best iron for distance + 2nd for accuracy + 2nd for ball speed + 2nd for fairways hit + 4th for forgiveness
- Reviewer 7-iron robot test: 117mph ball speed + 173yd carry + 17° launch + 4,306rpm spin on 27.5° loft — class-leading PD numbers
- Industry awards: exceptional distance + consistently high apex + tight spin + steep descent for quick stopping + workable yet forgiving + soft impact feel + mis-hits retaining height and direction
- 5-step forging process creates the softest feel possible with hollow body + flexible foam injection + 65g tungsten + lower CG
- Consistency lags peer competition — only 4th in forgiveness in the field despite winning distance and accuracy
- Thick top edge + wide sole + slightly more offset — GI-tilted silhouette will not appeal to the better-player crowd
- 27.5° 7-iron loft is strong — distance is achieved partly through aggressive lofts that compress traditional gapping
- Distance-iron-leaning acoustic and feel — falls short of the standard Forged Tec sibling for pure players-distance feel
