Relative to category peers · methodologyPros & cons
- Most forgiving Apex iron ever made — +5.6mph perimeter ball speed + 6yd tighter dispersion vs Apex 21
- First Apex iron with Tungsten Energy Core (up to 50g per iron) + first forged Apex with AI-designed Flash Face Cup
- Phenomenal forged feel + 1025 body + urethane microspheres — rare premium forged feel in GI category
- Golf Digest 2021 Hot List 5/5 stars (only GI iron to earn 5 stars in all 3 categories) + Gold Medal 3 years straight in GI category
- Much thicker topline + way wider sole + much more offset than Apex Pro 21 — bulky GI shape for sweeping deliveries only
- Now 4 years old — superseded by Callaway Apex Ai (2024) with enhanced AI Flash Face technology
- Mis-hits get 'loud and cranky' — divisive acoustic feedback (informational but harsh)
- Narrow fit — best suited to a mid handicapper (12-30 HCP); not for low single-digits or shotmakers
