Relative to category peers · methodologyPros & cons
- One of the longest players irons of 2021 — strongly lofted with 7-iron 161yd carry + ±3yd dispersion
- First forged Apex iron with AI-designed Flash Face Cup + 5x more tungsten than Apex 19 for CG precision per loft
- The ONE and ONLY irons in any category to receive 20/20 stars in 2021 Golf Digest Hot List
- 4.8/5 (96% recommended) consumer rating + 1025 forged body with urethane microspheres for premium feel
- Now 4 years old — superseded by Callaway Apex Ai (2024) with enhanced AI Flash Face technology
- Strong lofts (30.5° 7-iron) deliver distance via stronger lofts, not necessarily faster ball speeds vs traditional-lofted players irons
- Mis-hit feedback firms up substantially and gets louder — divisive informational acoustic shift
- Mid-handicap target only — Apex Pro 21 better for low single-digits, DCB better for 15+ handicaps
