ExcellentExceptional - the high-MOI design makes the GT Max incredibly forgiving and easy to use, the lightweight 6061 aluminium 146g top pushing weight to the perimeter, the expanded sweet spot giving accuracy on off-centre hits. Among the most forgiving mallets - the most forgiving of the GT line.
Distance
ExcellentA standout - the Pure Roll 2 insert uses aluminium bars at 45 degrees in the grooves to create a better roll, a consistent forward roll. Among the better putters for distance control.
Workability
ModestLimited but tunable - a single-bend configuration (typically face-balanced) and a slant-neck option (more toe hang); the 98g sole track with two 40g sliding tungsten weights moves CG, toe hang and face rotation across three positions. Still a face-balanced-leaning high-MOI mallet, but the weight track and slant-neck option add genuine tunability.
Feel
Class-leadingSoft and refined - the GT Max vaulted into consideration for a favourite-feeling Spider, very soft but never mushy, a soft, responsive Pure Roll 2 strike. Among the better putter feels - one of the softest Spiders.
