By dimension
Forgiveness
Exceptional - the modern Rossie is a highly forgiving mid-mallet, much bigger than Odyssey's original and one of the best mallet putters available, with much less dispersion especially when struck off-centre, helped by the large, perimeter-weighted head and Ai-One insert. Among the more forgiving mallets.
Distance
A standout - testers found shots very close to the hole across a variety of longer-length putts, the Ai-One insert giving consistent ball speed. Among the better putters for distance control.
Workability
A strong-arc mid-mallet - the Rossie S has a short slant neck with strong toe hang of 46 degrees, suited to a strong arc, with a double-bend face-balanced option separately, the slant neck improving operability for arc players. Good arc-fit - an unusually arc-friendly mid-mallet.
Feel
Soft and responsive - the Ai-One insert keeps the iconic White Hot feel, an aluminium backer with a White Hot urethane striking surface, a soft, satisfying strike. Strong feel - the iconic White Hot softness.
Sound
A soft, muted note - the White Hot urethane insert gives a soft, muted note at impact, a clean, dampened acoustic. A clean, muted putter sound.
Looks at address
A great-looking mallet - the modern Rossie remains a really good-looking putter, one of the best-looking mallets that frames the ball confidently, a clean, premium shape. Among the cleaner, best-looking mid-mallets.
