Pro T-3
CaddyIndex™ breakdown: what our research found across each of the six performance dimensions, with cited sources.
You play off 3-20 and want the best all-round wedge of 2025 - elite spin and accuracy, soft forged feel, and just enough cavity-back forgiveness - around £160-180.
You're an elite ball-striker who wants a pure blade and the widest grind choice - the Pro T-1 is the better fit.
Pros
- MyGolfSpy's #1 Best Overall Wedge of 2025 (8.9) - best for accuracy, consistency and spin in a clean sweep
- Top-of-category spin (8.9) with the famous soft Grain Flow Forged Mizuno feel
- A shallow cavity back and longer head add real off-centre stability - best consistency in testing (9.2)
- A premium, compact look that mirrors the gorgeous T-1
Cons
- Three grinds (S, M, C) - less grind choice than the six-grind T-1
- A slightly longer head and a cavity make it a fraction less pure-blade than the T-1
- Premium pricing for the category at around £160-180
By dimension
Forgiveness
Strong for a players' wedge - the shallow cavity back and slightly longer head add stability and forgiveness on off-centre strikes, ranking best for consistency at 9.2 on the back of more consistent ball speeds. More forgiving than the blade T-1, suiting all but elite and low-handicap golfers, while staying compact.
Distance
Best-in-class - ranked #1 for spin (8.9) and accuracy (8.8) en route to the #1 Best Overall wedge of 2025, with spin performance at the very top of the category, the Quad Cut+ and Hydroflow grooves controlling spin in all conditions. Elite, consistent distance control.
Workability
Workable, if simplified - the T-3 stays compact and controllable despite the cavity, with three grinds (S, M, C) tuned more for players who also want forgiveness, the shape aiding greenside control. Very workable for a forgiving wedge, though without the six-grind breadth of the T-1.
Feel
Best-in-class - the T-3 delivers the forged feel Mizuno is famous for via Grain Flow Forged HD 1025 carbon steel and a copper underlay, a medium-soft feel with mishits firming up to signal the strike. Among the softest, most refined wedge feels on the market.
Sound
A soft, quiet thud - centre strikes produce a below-average-volume thud, with off-centre hits firming up, a muted, premium acoustic from the forged construction. A clean, understated impact note in tune with the soft feel.
Looks at address
Clean and premium - the T-3 is very similar to the gorgeous T-1, only slightly longer heel-to-toe and still compact, with the shallow cavity distinguishing it, in a clean Soft White Satin finish. A premium, tidy profile, a fraction less pure-blade than the T-1.
