Performance index
Six researched ratings, lower (blue) through to elite (gold).
Where it wins
- Forgiveness96
- Distance92
- Feel87
Watch
Rated highest for forgiveness and distance; its softest dimension is workability.
You play off a big number, do not swing hard, and want the ball up and moving whatever you hit.
You want a compact head or the ability to shape a shot — the i-series is the place to look.
Pros
- Golf Digest 2026 Hot List Gold
- Retains ball speed on strikes far out toward the toe
- Feel and sound finally match the performance — the old hollow clatter is gone
Cons
- Over £1,100 for six clubs, forged-iron money for a set aimed at beginners
- Big, deep-topped and heavily offset; it will draw whether you ask or not
- Independent testing was less convinced on accuracy than the marketing suggests
By dimension
Forgiveness
Class-leadingBall speed survives a strike 18mm out toward the toe, which is about as good as this gets.
Distance
Class-leadingAmong the longest irons you can buy, with testers picking up ten yards or more on older sets.
Workability
ModestLong-bladed and heavily offset — it wants to draw, and arguing with it rarely works.
Feel
ExcellentA middled strike is unexpectedly cushioned for a head this big, with the harshness engineered out.
Sound
ExcellentA solid pop instead of the hollow clatter this line used to make — a real fix, not a tweak.
Looks at address
ExcellentA huge head with a deep top edge, rescued somewhat by plating that no longer glares back at you.
