Watch
Rated highest for feel and sound; its softest dimension is workability.
You want a soft-feeling, dependable putter at a budget price, in your choice of classic blade or mallet shape.
You want the latest AI face tech, a premium build, or the firmest feedback — a pricier Ai-ONE model suits you better.
Pros
- Odyssey's softest insert for a smooth, muted feel
- Strong value at a budget price
- A wide choice of classic blade and mallet head shapes
Cons
- A value build without the AI face tech of pricier models
- A softer, muted feel that some will find too dead
- A charcoal value finish rather than a premium finish
By dimension
Forgiveness
StrongFair — a value line offered in blade and mallet shapes; the forgiving mallet options steady mishits, but this is not a high-tech face.
Distance
ExcellentFair — the soft DFX insert rolls the ball smoothly and helps distance judgement, though it lacks the AI speed-normalising tech of pricier models.
Workability
ModestMixed — the line spans face-balanced mallets and toe-hang blades, so workability depends on the head shape you choose.
Feel
ExcellentA standout — the DFX insert is Odyssey's softest, notably softer than White Hot, for a smooth, muted, pleasing impact.
Sound
ExcellentA very quiet, muted note at impact — the softest DFX insert dampens the sound for a soft, gentle tone.
Looks at address
StrongA tidy value shape — a charcoal finish frames the black insert cleanly, decent at address though not a premium build.
