Best for

You want maximum greenside spin and open-face versatility - flops and bunker shots - from a high-toe, full-face raw wedge with a touch more forgiveness than a tour blade.

Avoid if

You want a compact traditional blade, maximum full-shot forgiveness, or a finish that won't rust.

Pros

  • Full-face grooves and a raw face for elite greenside spin
  • A high-toe shape and toe-ward weighting for more forgiveness on open faces
  • A J-Grind built for bunker shots and high flops
  • A striking, distinctive high-toe look

Cons

  • A greenside specialist - less forgiving than a cavity-back wedge
  • The raw face rusts over time, which some players dislike
  • A polarising high-toe shape not everyone likes

Forgiveness

Strong for a spin wedge - the Full Toe shape provides more face area with an enhanced but refined toe peak, and four weight ports become progressively shallower from heel to toe to move weight toward the toe and help on open-faced shots. More forgiving than the tour-blade Jaws Raw, though still a greenside specialist rather than a cavity-back.
