Relative to category peers · methodologyPros & cons
- Game-improvement forgiveness - extreme perimeter weighting and high MOI, with the G430 platform ranked 3rd for iron forgiveness
- 7-10 yards longer with a thinner, hotter face (+2mph ball speed)
- High launch and tight dispersion from the PurFlex cavity badge and low weight position
- A set-matching wedge that completes the G430 iron set with consistent gapping
- Below-average feel for the category - a cast game-improvement wedge, not a soft milled one
- Strong lofts and a distance focus mean less spin and greenside control than a tour wedge
- A single game-improvement sole - no grind options or shot-shaping
