TSi3 Hybrid
CaddyIndex™ breakdown — what the agentic research found across each of the six performance dimensions, with cited sources.
You're a 0-12 HCP at 90-120mph with an iron-like hybrid swing who wants the 2021 tour-shape Titleist shotmaker hybrid + 3-position CG track for shape bias + aggressively square iron-like profile + penetrating flight.
You need more forgiveness or higher launch (use the TSi2 or TSi1 instead), you need 24° loft option (only 18°/20° available), or you want current-generation Titleist tech (use TSR3 or GT3).
Pros
- Aggressively square iron-like profile with virtually zero offset — maximum workability
- 3-position SureFit CG Track (Toe/Neutral/Heel) with 12g movable weight — only TSi with adjustable weighting + 16-position SureFit hosel
- Up to 219yd carry in industry testing — up there with the longest 2021 hybrids + 128.1mph ball speed
- 2021 Golf Monthly Editor's Choice + Golf Digest 2021 Hot List + designed with feedback from Webb Simpson and Charley Hoffman
Cons
- Now 4 years old — superseded by TSR3 (2023, +5% MOI + 5-position CG track + sole relief pockets) and GT3 (2025, +15% MOI despite 6% smaller + heel-toe bias control)
- Compact iron-like profile limits forgiveness vs TSi2 sibling — better player target
- Only 2 lofts available (18°/20°) — narrow fitting range vs siblings' 3-loft ladders
- Initial high-pitched, metallic, rather loud acoustic impression — divisive sound
By dimension
Forgiveness
A lot more forgiving than expected considering it is aimed at the better player, with an average of 175 yards and a poorest strike down at 165 yards. The TSi3 is exceptionally forgiving for a players hybrid. Crown and face thicknesses create a lower CG for higher launch and lower spin, with the resulting increase in MOI creating a powerful combination of speed and stability. Newly-thinned-out clubface delivers faster ball speeds and increased performance on off-center strikes. Above-average forgiveness for a tour-shape hybrid — exceptionally forgiving for a player's hybrid + Carpenter 455 face + lower CG; compact iron-like profile limits vs TSi2 sibling.
Distance
128.1 mph average ball speed + 16.1° launch + 4,395 rpm spin + 191 yards carry distance on launch monitor testing. 13° launch + 4,100rpm spin + 16yd run + 190 yards total on Trackman testing. The TSi3 stood out with the distance it was able to produce when testing. The TSi3 offered significant adjustability and produced an average of 219 yards of carry — up there with the longest of the hybrids tested in 2021. Above-average distance — 128.1mph ball speed + up to 219yd carry per independent testing + 'stood out with the distance' + faster Carpenter 455 face vs TS3.
Workability
The TSi3 hybrid is a better fit for skilled golfers looking for a more iron-like option in their long game — players who want to fine-tune their shot trajectory and shape while maintaining precise distance control benefit most from the TSi3 model. Aggressively square and iron-like from address with virtually zero offset or onset to offer maximum workability. Three unique positions — Toe (T), Neutral (N) and Heel (H) — to adjust clubhead CG and fine-tune ball flight. Inspired by input from tour brand ambassadors. Top-tier workability — explicitly shotmaker design + 3-position CG track (only TSi with movable weight) + virtually zero offset for shape control + tour-pro feedback driven.
Feel
The TSi3 hybrid has a little bit more muted feel and sound compared to the TSi2, and they feel more substantial at impact, more like a long iron, which is something more skilled golfers will enjoy. Very strong feel at impact — like delivering a lot of mass into the ball but not heavy feeling. Feedback from the TSi3 hybrid is good both through the hands and ears, with centered shots feeling solid. Top-tier feel — more muted, substantial long-iron-like impact + strong mass delivery sensation + good hand/ear feedback on centered shots.
Sound
The TSi3 hybrid has a little bit more muted feel and sound compared to the TSi2. Crisp but soft click sound at impact. First swing with the TSi3 hybrid created a high pitched, metallic, rather loud sound — upon further testing it was realised that it's not that loud compared to most hybrids, just much louder than expected. Above-average sound — crisp but soft click acoustic + slightly more muted than TSi2 + initial 'louder than expected' impression but consistent across face.
Looks at address
The shape of the 2021 TSi3 hybrid is aggressively square and iron-like from address with virtually zero offset or onset to offer maximum workability. Much squarer, compact clubhead — this iron-like profile complements the TSi3's workability and lower-launching properties. Baffler shape that offers lower launch, greater distance and more of an iron-like performance with a penetrating ball flight. Top-tier address — aggressively square iron-like profile + virtually zero offset + compact tour-inspired baffler shape.
