GTS4
CaddyIndex™ breakdown — what the agentic research found across each of the six performance dimensions, with cited sources.
Low-to-mid handicap (0-15) players with swing speeds 95-125 mph who want maximum spin reduction in a 460cc forgiving chassis AND the option to dial in launch via dual-weight system — buyers who outgrew GT4's compact constraints.
You already own a GT4 (forward setting performs very similarly), you need maximum stability (GTS2 has more), or you don't tune weights (the dual system's value comes from active fitting).
Pros
- Chassis EXPANSION 430cc → 460cc — opens the '4' model from niche to mainstream while keeping the low-spin DNA
- NEW SureFit CG Track plus Dual Weighting (matches GTS3 adjustability) — the first '4' model with sliding-weight shape control
- First PGA Tour adopter at the RBC Heritage 64; averaged ~303yd at the Cadillac Championship vs a ~300yd season average
- Dual-personality design: forward weight = ultra-low spin killer; rear weight = increased launch / forgiveness — two drivers in one
Cons
- Brand new (June 2026 retail launch) — no Most Wanted or Hot List data yet; long-term tour adoption developing
- Extended PMP polymer wrapping creates a harsher mishit feel than the GT4 baseline (the same tradeoff as the GTS2 / GTS3)
- Confidence-inspiring at 460cc but for high-handicaps the GTS2 remains more forgiving on pure mishits
- Premium MSRP ($649); buyers with the GT4 may not see a meaningful gain on centre-strike performance
By dimension
Forgiveness
Reviewers note the headline change is the move to a full 460cc chassis, which immediately opens the head up to a much wider audience than the predecessor. The 460cc profile improves forgiveness and stability while retaining its low-spin DNA — head size up from 430cc to 460cc. 26g polymer (versus 13g in predecessor) frees discretionary weight for MOI gains. Dual-weighting system maintains stability even on mishits.
Distance
The head is the lowest-spinning driver in the lineup, designed to reduce high spin rates and maximize distance. Tour validation: a major tour pro became first to put the head in play on PGA Tour at a major event — superb second-round 64. The pro averaged just over 303 yards off the tee at a follow-up event versus season average of 299.5 yards with the new head in bag. Speed Sync Face improves ball speed retention. With weight forward, the head becomes ultra-low spin spin killer for maximum speed and piercing flight.
Workability
Reviewers note the head now features the same enhanced adjustability system as the low-spin tour sibling — sliding CG Track plus rear flat weight. The dual-weighting system creates what is essentially two drivers in one — heavy weight forward equals ultra-low spin spin killer, heavy weight aft equals increased launch and forgiveness. Tour validation at the highest level. Major upgrade over the predecessor's 2-port binary system.
Feel
Reviewers note the head provides honest, unfiltered feedback through the hands that tells you exactly where you missed it. Loved the feel and the feedback it gives. The same extended polymer wrapping that improves forgiveness introduces slightly harsher mishit feel than the predecessor. Communicative but mishit harshness is the tradeoff for the polymer chassis extension.
Sound
Reviewers describe the head as sitting somewhere in between the other models — with the heavier weight positioned rearward, centered strikes sounded fantastic and produced a very balanced acoustic profile that blended some aspects of the more forgiving sibling with the livelier response of the tour-spec sibling. Polymer engineered for acoustic tunability.
Looks at address
Reviewers note the head at address is one of the best-looking drivers, sitting beautifully and framing the ball as expected. The head sits beautifully square, and despite the increase in volume, it retains a sophisticated, tour-inspired shape that masks its size well. Frames the ball with a level of cleanliness loyalists have come to expect. Tour validation at the highest level.
