300 Mini Driver
CaddyIndex™ breakdown — what the agentic research found across each of the six performance dimensions, with cited sources.
You want a forgiving, versatile classic mini you can hit off the tee for control and comfortably off the deck - and you don't need adjustability.
You want a tunable mini (the adjustable Cobra, PXG or Callaway options), or you want maximum distance from a full driver.
Pros
- Right between a driver and a 3-wood - 256 yards average, versus 272 for a driver and 232 for a 3-wood
- Genuinely versatile - near-identical numbers off the tee and off the deck, surprisingly comfortable from the turf
- Forgiving for a compact head - Twist Face and a Thru-Slot Speed Pocket help toe, heel and low-face strikes
- A deeply satisfying, confidence-inspiring classic shape
Cons
- Non-adjustable - no hosel sleeve or movable weights to tune loft, spin or shot shape
- A clear step down in distance from a full driver
- A 2021 design - newer minis add adjustability and faster faces
By dimension
Forgiveness
Forgiving for a compact head - impressive ball speed and forgiveness from Twist Face (correcting toe and heel strikes) and the Thru-Slot Speed Pocket (adding ball speed and forgiveness low on the face), with more forgiveness than a standard fairway metal. Strong forgiveness for a 307cc mini.
Distance
Right between a driver and a 3-wood - 256 yards average, sitting neatly between a driver (272) and a 3-wood (232), with strong ball speed. Strong mini-driver distance, by design a step down from a full driver.
Workability
Controllable, if neutral - the compact 307cc head and shorter shaft give real control off the tee, though Twist Face is built to neutralise rather than encourage shape, and there is no adjustability to bias it. Good workability for a mini, but not a shot-shaper's tool.
Feel
Solid and premium - a solid, satisfying impact from the titanium head and Speed Pocket construction, a quality sensation. Strong feel for a mini-driver.
Sound
Clean and solid - a clean, solid note off the face that suits the classic shape. A controlled, pleasant sound for a mini-driver.
Looks at address
A deeply satisfying nod to the past - the classic 300-series shape is a satisfying throwback, the larger head confidence-inspiring next to a 3-wood. One of the best-looking minis - a retro classic.
