Best for

You want a soft-feeling forged wedge that excels on partial and greenside shots, with hidden forgiveness in a clean, classic head - strongest from 100 yards and in.

Avoid if

You need a grind menu for varied turf, or you want your best performance on full-swing wedge shots rather than partials.

Pros

  • Golf Digest 2020 Hot List Silver - the panel praised the weighting and serious greenside grab
  • Top of the partial-swing metrics and a top-three consistency pick in 2021 robot testing
  • Outstanding forged feel from 8620 carbon steel, with powerful feel and good distance control
  • Tungsten-and-titanium weighting raises MOI and weight position for control on open-face shots

Cons

  • Less impressive on full shots than on partial and greenside shots in robot testing
  • Just one sole grind - limited lie and condition customisation
  • Premium launch price (around £250) for a forged, non-milled wedge

Forgiveness

Hidden forgiveness in a clean head - the 2020 Hot List panel said the weighting was really perfect and credited the raised weight position for control, with 2021 robot testing ranking it a top-three consistency pick where it sat at the top for the majority of partial-swing metrics. Forgiveness and feel are hidden within a relatively benign appearance. Forgiving for a forged wedge, especially on the shorter shots.

Distance

Strong distance control on partials - 2021 robot testing placed it at the top for the majority of partial-swing metrics, a top-three consistency pick, though it wasn't quite as impressive on full shots. A powerful feel with good distance control. Dependable yardage control on the scoring shots, a little less so on full swings.
