Tri-Hot 5K Three
CaddyIndex™ breakdown — what the agentic research found across each of the six performance dimensions, with cited sources.
You putt with a strong arc, want mallet-level forgiveness in a classic blade with significant toe hang and the soft White Hot insert.
You putt with a straight stroke, you are sensitive to a hollow-feeling head, or you want a budget putter.
Pros
- The first-ever blade to boast 5,000 MOI - mallet forgiveness in a blade
- A flow neck with significant (around 70-degree) toe hang for a strong arc
- Over 120g of toe-and-heel tungsten reduces spin on off-centre hits
- The iconic soft White Hot insert with two adjustable front weights
Cons
- A hollow-feeling head - a concern, especially at this price
- A polarising retro shape
- Built for a strong arc - not for a straight stroke
By dimension
Forgiveness
Exceptional for a blade - the Three, like the rest of the Tri-Hot series, is extremely forgiving, the forgiveness of a mallet in a blade design, the first-ever blade to boast 5,000 MOI. Among the most forgiving blade putters made.
Distance
A standout - the front-loaded tungsten and forward CG reduce spin on off-centre hits to keep putts on line, the White Hot insert giving consistent pace. Among the better putters for distance control.
Workability
A strong-arc blade - a flow neck hosel yielding significant toe hang, suited to strokes with aggressive swing arc and face rotation, around 70 degrees of toe hang. Excellent arc-fit - a true strong-arc blade.
Feel
Soft insert, hollow head - the White Hot insert is soft but the heavy tungsten head produced a hollow feel that is a concern, especially at this price, a firm-edged sensation from the front-weighted head. Good but compromised feel - the soft insert offset by a hollow-feeling head.
Sound
A muted note with a hollow edge - the White Hot insert gives a muted note, the heavy front-weighted head sounding a touch hollow. A muted putter sound with a slightly hollow edge.
Looks at address
Clean but retro - a classic heel-toe blade that looks quite retro with its curves. A clean classic blade, with a slightly polarising retro shape.
