What counts as a used golf deal?
We rank used listings by how far the current best price has fallen below its own 30-day average, and we only show a used product when it is genuinely cheaper than the same model in like-new or new condition. So you never see a used club priced about the same as a new one dressed up as a deal.
Why isn't a cheap used club showing as a deal?
Two reasons. Either the product does not yet have three days of price history, so we cannot tell whether the price has actually dropped, or a like-new or new version of the same model is available at a similar price, in which case the used listing is not a real saving and we hide it.
Are used golf clubs worth buying?
For most golfers, yes. Club technology moves slowly, so a one or two-generation-old model in good used condition plays close to the latest release for a lot less money. The saving is largest on drivers and irons, where the new price is highest.
How much can you save buying used?
