What is a like-new golf deal?
Like-new covers ex-demo, certified-refurbished and near-mint pre-owned clubs that are hard to tell apart from new. We rank them by how far the current best price has fallen below its own 30-day average, and only show a product when it undercuts the new price of the same model.
What does like-new or as-new condition mean?
It is the top pre-owned grade: pristine, with little or no sign of use, often an ex-demo or a manufacturer-refurbished club. For most golfers it performs identically to new while costing less.
Is like-new always cheaper than new?
Usually, and on these pages always, because we hide any like-new listing that is not meaningfully cheaper than the same model in new condition. If new is the same price or lower, buying new is the better call, so we do not surface it as a like-new deal.
Why isn't a like-new club showing as a deal?
Either it does not yet have three days of price history, or a new version of the same model is available at a similar price, so the like-new listing is not a genuine saving and we leave it out.
How much can you save buying like-new?
Less than fully used, more than new. Each card shows the current best like-new price and how far it sits below its 30-day average, so the saving is measured against the recent street price rather than an inflated RRP.
How often are like-new deals updated?
Prices refresh every day as we re-pull each retailer's feed, so the rankings reflect the latest drops. A deal you see today may move or sell out tomorrow.
