What the Mevo Gen2 measures
This is where the Gen2 earns the spotlight. Out of the box it reports a full set of ball and club data for every full swing, not the handful the original Mevo measured. That includes:
- Ball flight: carry, roll and total distance, apex height, flight time and lateral landing.
- Speed and strike: ball speed, club head speed, smash factor and angle of attack.
- Launch and shape: vertical and horizontal launch angle, spin rate, spin axis, spin loft and shot dispersion.
It tracks chipping and putting too, and every shot pairs with FlightScope's FS Golf app and records a short video alongside the numbers.
A note on spin: the Gen2 reads spin rate and spin axis, but as the Mevo Plus did before it, it leans on metallic spin stickers or a Titleist RCT ball for the most accurate spin readings, so budget for those if shot shape is your priority.
Upgrade packages
The Gen2 is built to grow. Two optional, one-time upgrades unlock more data through the same FS Golf app, with no subscription and no recurring fees:
- Pro Package adds 11 more club and D-plane parameters, including club path, face to path, face to target, dynamic loft, vertical and horizontal swing plane, low point, vertical descent angle, curve, and club speed and acceleration profiles. It also opens up the Trajectory Optimizer for dialling each club in to your own numbers and conditions. It is the same Pro Package that was previously the preserve of the larger, pricier Mevo Plus.
- Face Impact Location shows where on the face you struck the ball, adding lateral and vertical impact location for every club from lob wedge up to driver.
Both are bought once and activated with a code in the app, so you can start with the standard unit and add the deeper club data later if you decide you want it.

The Gen2 suits the golfer who wants trusted, tour-pedigree data in something they can throw in a bag, for far less than the old Mevo Plus once cost.
